Nose Art Pinup Girl: "You are the bomb"

I've been spending more time lately working on Zbrush. My latest render is this pinup poster I made inspired by WWII nose art. I do have a fondness for retro posters. More playful and bit more campy. I was trying to add some kind of an inspirational saying or message on the top, but there wasn't much I could think of in relating to a bomb. I used Photoshop and Illustrator for the text and lines. For the female model, this was generally a way for me to work on more human muscles. Thus, the skimpiness of her outfit. I'm concurrently also working on a Conan the Barbarian model. I used the Transpose Tool on Zbrush to pose the character. Here, you can see the T-pose version. I was thinking of creating a machine gun for her as well, but I ditched it as it could take too long. The bomb you see is inspired by the movie, Doctor Strangelove . Some of the words on the bomb make references to the film. A great film. My favorite among Stanley Kubrick's work.

Inktober 2023 Part 3!

And, now, part 3 of my Inktober drawings! Hope you enjoy them! I tend to pull from nostalgia whenever I do these things... Well, a year has already passed, and this was a fun Inktober! Have a happy November!

Inktober 2023 is here and once again... part 1

Once again, I'm back writing on this blog. Yeah, I do it basically once a year and mostly because of Inktober. I was drawing with my colleagues at work last week in a one-hour Drawing Jam. I decided to do all 31 days of Inktober on the one hour jam... as shown on the left side of this image below. The rest of the artwork is done by my coworkers--they weren't following the prompts. This was drawn on Google jamboard, which didn't have much tools to work with. Still, I can at least say I did my Inktober prompts even before I did it "officially." Officially, meaning that I'd draw, more or less, one drawing a day. I know for a fact though I won't even follow that rule. No matter, it's all about daily practice anyway. So, on to my actual Inktober... My first image is of Rene Magritte, the surrealist. He might just be my favorite surrealist painter. His work is quite illustrative.
